Dear Friends, We are so thankful to our Lord Jesus for His protection and provision! What a spring and summer it has been, so far… Windstorms, Hail, Drought (now, thankfully, Rain!) major Electrical Storms and Forest Fires! Truly we can sing with the psalmist David when he wrote: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;” Psalm 46:1-2.

We were so blessed by the messages and testimonies during the Spring Family Fellowship Weekend! Then we were blessed to be able to host a Men’s Fishing Retreat and then in June the Young Adults camp was an excellent time of ministry, music and fellowship. We have also been able to host several individuals that just needed to spend some time away and in the presence of the Lord. We are about to host another Men’s Fishing Retreat and then it is time for the 10-day annual Family Camp Meetings!

July 25 through August 3 is going to be a tremendous time of ministry for the whole family! We will begin Friday evening under the tent at 7:30 p.m. with Canada’s Double Portion leading in Praise and Worship and the anointed ministry of Ben Johnson. (CDP is only able to be with us through July 29). Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. we meet again for more praise and worship, Children’s Ministry by Mathias and Jerusha Johnson and Adam Yadlowsky will be teaching July 26 and 27th and Willard Hasmatali July 28th through to August 3rd. We are excited about what God is going to do in the hearts and lives of people here, this summer! The Snack Shack will be open and well stocked with all kinds of great goodies. Lots of time each afternoon for fellowship with friends and family, swimming, fishing or hiking in God’s great creation… you will not want to miss out!

Here is a brief update on other happenings at the Wilderness Ministries Bible Camp: Cabin #5 (our home for new staff) is progressing. The basement floor has been poured, most of the electrical has been roughed in, the Pine ceilings have been installed and sprayed with clear coat finish and now we are about to get started with the remaining plumbing and drywall. Staff House Fund: We have had $31,500.57 to date July 10, 2025 which means that we only need $48,499.43 to reach our goal of $80,000.

We had a lightning strike on June 28. A tall Pine tree just outside the Kitchen and Dining Hall exploded! The induced electrical spike took out our internet, a couple of DC power supply units and our inverter. Thanks to their God given talents and abilities, Paul and Steve had our internet going by noon on Tuesday. Paul and Ron, with help from Elijah and Dave, had the inverter replaced with a new one, programed and working by mid afternoon on Wednesday and we were able to go back to solar power from generator power. Praise the Lord for His provision and protection… things could have been catastrophically worse!

We have been desperately dry here… very little rain since the snow melted in spring. The forest fire hazard has been extreme. Smoke has been a problem on numerous days because we have been directly down wind of the largest forest fire in the province. With the high winds we have experienced this year and the fire approaching from the Northwest, it has been very concerning at times! We spent time getting water tanks set up, pumps ready, hoses and sprinklers ready and pumping water from the marina to wet the ground to lower the fire hazard as much as possible. Praise God, He answers prayer, some rain (and hail) came and the fire stayed away. However, it is still extremely dry here, more rain is needed. Please continue to pray for God’s protection for the camp, campers and staff.

If you would like to have meals at the dinning hall, make arrangements with Donalda by email [email protected], text or phone 1-306-862-6976 prior to July 22
